Apr 4, 2004 · Of course, the number one cover is going to be ****ing iconic! But it also has to be great, which it is. If the #1 had been a cover from like five years ago and it was the best cover Marvel has ever produced and by all rights should be #1 and recieved such a title, this place would be bombarded by posts saying that it should've been a Kirby or Ditko or Romita cover.
Jul 1, 2009 · For the 70th anniversary of the company, Marvel.com had a poll where fans selected their favorite covers. Hulk 340 beat out AF 15 for the top spot. http://marvel.com/seventy_years/countdown/winners/covers/ The majority of the covers selected are very modern.

Hard to believe that little old Marvel Comics is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year. To celebrate Marvel.com is counting down the Top 70 Marvel Comics as voted by their readers.. Some great books on the list so far, but let’s be honest: the company may be 70 years old, but the only Marvel Comics worth mentioning debuted less than 50 years ago.
